"A wonderful workshop. Clear explanation and coaching of the craniosacral techniques." - Gloria Wong
“[I liked] the mix of biology-based learning with other more holistic alternative exercises... Science meets Spirituality, basically."
- Caoimhe Smyth
About the Facilitator: Christine Domingo Klitsie
Christine is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist. She was trained as a medical doctor, took up a corporate career during which she was drawn to alternative medicine. After she acquired her foundation in CranioSacral Therapy in Hong Kong and Japan, she then pursued specialist courses in CST for the Brain; for Conception, Pregnancy and Childbirth; and for Pediatrics from Upledger Institute Australia. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) from the SE Trauma Institute.
She chose CST and SE as her modalities because of their holistic approach and recognition of the body's ability to heal itself naturally. She works with a wide variety of conditions across all ages: babies, children, adults and pregnant mothers.
Christine believes in empowering people to take charge of their health and well-being,
and thus developed the Heal at Home self-healing workshops where she teaches CranioSacral techniques
for self-treatment. She is also an accredited First Aid instructor with First Aid International (UK),
offering a variety of adult, paediatric and sports-specific courses.
About CST
CST is a gentle and natural approach to helping your body to heal itself by releasing restrictions in
the craniosacral system. It is usually given as treatment session by a professional therapist.
Some CranioSacral techniques can be done as self-treatment as a supplement to ongoing therapy,
or as a home remedy for various conditions. Also suitable for parents wishing to support their infant/child
between CST sessions, and for anyone who would like to have a solid introduction to therapeutic touch.
Course Highlights:
- Discover the craniosacral system and how it affects the rest of the body
- Learn basic CranioSacral Therapy techniques that you can perform yourself
- Gain a greater understanding of your role in your own health and well being
Prerequisite:
None, although having a CranioSacral Therapy session before this workshop is recommended.
